Welcome to My Blog!

Hihi and welcome, to whoever is reading this~

My Simplicity Complex is my first blog. It seems like everyone is making one of these now-a-days so I decided that it is time to join the fad.
This blog will function as something like a diary or a journal log for myself concerning my new college life or just about life in general.

>:3 I have accounts on various art/anime/games involved sites such as deviantArt and Gaiaonline.
I don't appreciate cyber-stalking but you can check out my stuff under the name: ThreeWayDart.

Salty Chicken Drumsticks~~~~

My dinner last night... 3 salt marinated chicken drum sticks, lettuce, noodles. I fried them so much cow butter came out. And this is all that's remain after a night of 'too lazy to do dishes'. Haha, better go soak the pot and chopsticks in water now.

Relief

Good news from both Hawaii and Alameda!

Hawaii's got the warning called off and my friend's and his family's alright, as are my aunt and uncle in Alameda. So I can assume so is my mum. Phew.

Now back to eating breakfast at CABreakfast AND studying at the same time.

Tsunami warning in Bay Area!?

Currently in Humanities discussion, last one of the year... should've ended 5 mintues ago.

But still in class.

Read that the tsunami that hit Japan killed up to 500 people, and that the after waves are tiding over to bay area and coastal USA, hope everyone back home is ok.

Haven't heard of anything bad online yet, good sign.

Seaweed cravings

It's been almost a month since I wrote anything!?

Wow, time sure flies.

Well, better catch up now.

First of, I (and 4 other people) won the Gotcha game. Hilariously, it was on the day of lunar new years. It was actually a 5-way tie but I also got the most kills, so yay! Won $60-ish gift cards. I was planning to just use the money and get my floormates a feast but seems like the school can't give us gift cards of stores that sells alcohol. For obvious reasons.

Spirit Night was extremely tiring, I spend 5 hours in the morning doing non-stop decorating, and had to do some last minute posters because I and Skylar were the only artists in RCA and they didn't plan ahead of time. Apparently people thinks that someone else will take care of things, but they forgot that RCA is that 'someone else', so RCA can't really want for a miracle to happen.
In the end Warren won, as expected. Even though they sabotaged some of the other schools' decorations. But they did have spirits, all the spectators were very enthusiastic and very well-prepared with their costumes. I think I'm going to make the Spirit Night preparation my project next year if I'm still in RCA, and make sure we win.
Afterwards RCA and RCC had a mixer at Yousaf and Brent's place. Then everyone started getting smashed and playing beer pong. I left pretty early, securing Jimmy, who was un-drunk, as the driver. Since I figured if I stayed any longer, I might not make it back that night.

Had a semi-relaxing week afterwards, but I was also running on the HC round 5 deadline. I have about a week left, and I need to whip out about 6 pages of comics by then. But that might be hard, since next week is mid-term week.

Went to San Diego Zoo this Thursday with the Wildlife Conservation Seminar class. I wish I have a camera, I dunno how I forgot to buy one of those disposable ones before hand. Considering how much I was looking forward to it.
We were pretty dang lucky, since there were lots of baby animals when we got there. There were baby scream birds (not sure if i got the name right... probably not) that looked like kiwi fluffs; there was a baby male hippo sun bathing/napping with his mom. The mom sorta made eye contacts with every one in the audience, we all swore she looked at us. xD There was also supposed to be a baby Royal antelope but we didn't get to see it. The adults were so small at first I thought they were the babies. haha.

We were just really lucky in general, we got to see a lot of animals active even during the middle of the day. Like the tiger was prowling in front of his room door because he was locked out and he was acting like a cat locked out of the house, trying to get back in. There was a koala actually awake and munching on some leaves, the rest were all sleeping tho. And then we saw the panda! I think her name was Gao Gao but I'm not sure, she was circling around the exhibit site with this kinda irritated rush and making growling and honking sounds. The message I got from her was 'I'm unsatisfied with my life, and my marriage, and I want a vacation'. Weird, huh?
Then we were in time to see the parrot parade thing at 4pm when we were leaving the zoo, at first I thought it was an escape, but luckily it wasn't.

Next week is midterm week, so I'm studying. Ish. Sorta.
I should be working harder, but the Valentine wave sorta swept me up. Haha. That, and Photoshop froze on me yesterday so I lost 3 hours worth of work. I'm going to have to redo it.

I really, really need to learn to save.

Kitty eyepatches

I don't even remember when my last entry is, but since then our floor has been playing Gotcha. Gotcha is basically a game where every participant has a target they need to tag, and it's formed a ring among the players. Each day there's a safety item, and if you wear it properly you cannot get tagged. Today I got three targets in a row, pretty sweet. I was dormant during the week because of my mid-terms so I guess they thought I wasn't after them.

I think they're scared of me.

But now I tie with the player that got tagged out a while back of the higher kill-rate. 4. Yea. But my last target seems to think that wearing his eye patch on his forehead counts and stuff. It doesn't. I ran into walls and doors and almost fell down stairs today because of the stupid safety item of an eyepatch, and I do not think wearing it on your forehead was an option.

My eye patch was a Kiki kitty. Just like how it was a Kiki plushie during the safety day when it was a stuffed animal. I'm kitty obsessed? xD

Mom's b-day was yesterday, but I've been really busy so I didn't draw her anything. Spirit Night is coming up, and let's just say things haven't been going well with the Warvelleans in 4th floor. They are technically Warrens living in Revelle Argo hall, but they wouldn't let us put up the triton decoration over their 4th floor window and now our giant Triton is missing pieces. haha.

Happy Birthday Mom!

I have to read for Hum now.

Tarnation!

Well, another entry to complain about life.

The school wide internet crashed yesterday, some registration overload problem, and in turned I couldn't turn my Chem hw in on time. I sure hope the prof would give us a break and let it off the hook. It wasn't as though I could've predicted that it would crash so randomly on due date, and I couldn't turn it in until then because I had to check my answers with the TAs in DI. Yea. Sucks. But whatever.

Just finished my Bio hw. Which felt way more like a chem6a hw than anything. But yea.

I am 80% done on the part one of HC round 4 entry, after that I'll work on a one piece part two. Hope I have enough time, and that internet doesn't crash on me. Haha.

Don't jinx it.

Spirit Night is going really badly, there isnt' anywhere near enough attendance to the games on Revelle's part, and I couldn't really help out this week because of the HC deadline. But I'll try to make up for it next week. Yea.

The Merciless Week

First week back to school, and I almost died.

It started off with staying over at Jobeth's apartment for the Saturday night and then making the guy lug my luggage back to Revelle the next morning (but hey, I treated him to Islands the night before!). Then I was unpleasantly welcomed back to my room by my roomate's moldy fridge. I spent about an hour cleaning it, then another vacuuming the place. Right afterwards I was kidnapped by the RCA members that were working on Spirit Night posters and spend another hour among paint thinner and stuff.

Mel was suppose to come back to the dorms around 5pm Sunday that day, but thanks to the crazy rain going on she was stuck in the highway and didn't make it back until almost 11pm. Yea, that was nuts.

I have a lot of homework for this quarter, in contrast to last quarter where only one class has required homework. And Humanities started off with 27 chapter 'light reading' of the effing Bible. Reading the Bible has made me convinced that we, humans, are indeed made in the image of god. We create an destroy things at whim, we believes that killing things is the solution to all problems, and we play favorites like nobody's business.

Then there was Bild1, much to my disappointment, Bild1 was pretty much just like Chem6a so far. I already have a chem6b class, I don't really need another one. So, upset about the lack of biology in my life, I went to my Bild87 seminar rather happily (at last I got accepted this quarter!). It has only been one session but I think I like it alot already. Just sitting there for an hour and 50 minutes actually made me think that it's a-okay for zombies or plague or whatever to wipe us humans off the planet, since we are obvious killing it.

I'm sorta dying from the sheer amount of reading and homework...
Okay, I'm sorta blaming the work, but the reading and homework themselves aren't so hard. It's just time consuming (tho I read super fast! :D) and I haven't worked on my dA deadlines yet. I'm about 20% done on the Helios round 4 entry and there's only a week left to go. OTL

Yea.

I am currently suffering from serious bouts of stomach flu, OR vitamin C overdose. I can't tell. I'll try and rest some today and get cracking on the homework tomorrow.......

Happy New Year

Are you all ready for the year of the Rabbit!?

Not to mention the first few weeks where you keep writing the wrong year in the date? Haha.

Above is a inspiringly cute picture of a little rabbiting eating the inedible~ Hope that was cute enough. It was either that or Rin from Vocaloid in bunny suit.

I still fail to get Paint Tool SAI since there's no Mac version and using Crossover kills the tablet pressure sensitivity, I am going to have to partition my laptop and download SAI in Windows.... *sigh* I was hoping to do it in the same frame, guess not.

That, or unless something helpful on dA gives me an alternative, but not likely.

Hung out with Elizabeth and her sister Jessica yesterday at the library, and tried (with little success) at getting SAI to work for my Mac. Gave up, fiddled with Liz's SAI and literally fell in love with the program. So I'm going to get it now, no matter what. >:3 For free of course.

Then today, out of the blue, we went bowling. But we I mean only Hieu, Amy, Jennifer and I. Everyone else couldn't make it. And we sorta bummed around alot before actually bowling. I sucked, and Amy, as usual, did brilliant. And we had weird bowling names thanks you yours truly and Hieu's earlier (entirely unintended I'm sure) joke. TheWeirdOne, TheSmartOne, TheSmallOne, TheChosenOne. You can easily guess which is whose. xD

I can't feel my thumb right now, and I tore some skin in my index finger.... I seriously need to exercise more.

Speaking of exercise, I debated on whether or not should I bring my badminton racket with me, then decided against it. It's not like anyone's there to play w/ me. 3:>

I'm going back to UCSD tomorrow, and thus will begin another long three months of respected higher-education. I am envious of those who will continue to enjoy their freedom until mid-January. Speaking of January, it is also near the time for Spirit Night in UCSD, and that can only mean lots of work for Revelle College Assembly if we want to win. And I do think we do want to win. *sighs*

I DID do a spanking awesome poster before break tho, wonder if it's printed out yet?

Continuation~

Like, Final-effing-helly! I also decided to get off of my lazy butt and actually uploaded some pictures of what happened in general in winter break.

Yay?
------------

Those two unforgivingly huge pictures are respectively the X'mas Tree during 'Let's Break Bread' and another in Japan Town, they decorated that small indoor shopping place with a lot of x'mas trees covered with paper origami. Reminds me of how I used to do that as a kid, until I learned that fires DO happen on Christmas. xD

Amy, Hieu, Michelle, Kelley, YuShan, Justin and I all hung out at Japan Town On Sunday.

Yu Shan, actually caught on camera willing for once! O__o

Michelle, being Michelle.

This was the gag 'ew, you farted' scene. It wasn't fart, really. I was rubbing my nose from the cold, and Hieu was just bored. But Hey! You can sorta see my new haircut here!

This time, Hieu didn't get the chance to eat before us. xD She got her food last!

Ugh! School's starting soon again, I hope I have time to meet up with Elizabeth first to get SAI from her. AND have a draw fest with her until our hands bleed. xD

That's all for now, I'm surprised at my own diligence.

TIME SKIP!?

..... OMG

Winter break is already over!? What the heck happened to my TIME!?

Oh right, I spent it all on manga and sleep.

OTL

I failed my driving test on the 21st, and I'm taking another one tomorrow.... I hope I pass. It's all the lane change's fault! I KNOW the route, really!

My resulting loot for X'mas was honestly kinda good. My family's not the Christmas gift giving type and I got some pretty boring stuff. Like Snuggles and socks... okay, the snuggle was awesome, it's super warm, but I meant 'boring' in general.

Ughhh.... there's more, I'll update later.
